Privacy Policy

Pre-launch notice: Flot Technologies operates a pre-launch waitlist. Ride-hailing services are not yet available. This document will be updated when Flot launches its ride-hailing service, and re-consent will be requested at that time. This document has not been reviewed by legal counsel.

1. Who we are

Flot Technologies (“Flot”, “we”, “us”) operates the pre-launch waitlist at rideflot.com. We are based in Ontario, Canada.

2. What we collect

When you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect:

  • Your email address (required)
  • Your intended role: driver or rider (required)
  • Your city or region (required)
  • Your name and message, if you use the contact form
  • UTM parameters from the URL if you arrive via a marketing link (e.g. utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign)

We do not collect payment information at this stage.

3. How we use it

We use your data to:

  • Notify you when Flot launches in your city
  • Send you a confirmation email when you join the waitlist
  • Respond to your contact form messages
  • Understand where our waitlist signups are coming from

We do not use your data for advertising targeting or sell it to third parties.

4. Where your data is stored

Waitlist and contact data is stored in Google Firestore in the northamerica-northeast2 (Montréal, Canada) region. Confirmation emails are sent via Resend, whose infrastructure is located in the United States.

5. We do not sell your data

Flot does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, now or in the future without your explicit consent.

6. Third-party services

We use the following services to operate the waitlist:

  • Google Firebase / Firestore: database storage (Canada region)
  • Resend: transactional email delivery
  • Vercel: website hosting and edge delivery

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their data handling.

7. Your rights

You may request deletion of your waitlist entry at any time by emailing rideflot@gmail.com with the subject line “Delete my data” and the email address you used to sign up.

8. Cookies

The Flot waitlist site does not currently use cookies or local storage beyond what the browser requires to render the page. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this document when Flot launches its ride-hailing service. Material changes will be communicated by email and will require re-consent before you can use the live service.
